9.7 inch Onda Vi40 Elite tablet sees official introduction, hitting our stores early January
How much do you think that tablet in the window costs? Yes, that one with 9.7-inch flat-panel screen and Ice Cream Sandwich on board? Tough to know, but it could be the Onda Vi40 Elite you’re looking at. And maybe those rumors we heard about the new flagship Vi40 elite flouncing 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU could be true. We’ll wait and see. In the meantime, the tablet released should fit at ease between the 5 and 10-inch variants of more slates expected to come in the first Q2 of 2012.
The Onda Vi40 Elite should accommodate your chunk of files; thanks to 8GB hard disk capacity, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory together with 32 GB microSD support, an IPS screen with 1,024 x 768 resolution, dual cameras in the rear and front, and built-in 6500mAh high capacity battery with a running time of 7.5 hours. At a thickness of 5.4mm; slightly thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Toshiba Thrive as well. We hope to nab the tablet by at least the end of January 2012, but those impatient folks with healthy pockets should be ready to cough at least something between Yuan 1099.00 – 1262.00 and additional shipping costs. But if you’d rather wait for that perfect time to ring in 2012 nestled up to a fresh gadget with no shipping charges including some hot hot hands on video, we’ve got you covered.
