MID’s V1 9.7-inch tablet features Renesas Cortex A9 1GHz (2 cores) 533MHz + 666MHz

There she contentedly sits, the MID V1. Just like the popular HP TouchPad, it’s also shaped almost closely like the iPad. It is slightly heavier than the iPad and measures only 12.5mm in thickness, which is to some extent of a let-down for those already put off by the heft found in Apple’s slate. It appears as if the rumors we heard about MID’s V1 having a Renesas Cortex A9 1GHz processor (2 cores) 533MHz + 666MHz were true.
On unboxing, flipping the tablet at the back is white plastic, smooth and no doubt welcomes the pocket: Its simplicity in design doesn’t make room for a lot of externally defining features, finding out which way is “up” slightly a challenge. However when powered, we could notice apps load quickly and responsive enough, although a few, like Weatherbug, we had to give it time. We have to praise the developers for giving us a piece of hardware we are fully satisfied by the performance. Flipping through tasks was easy and smooth even for heavy data games.
Running Android 2.2 Froyo on board, instant-on productivity, a 9.7-inch display (1024×768 4:3 High Resolution), a Renesas Cortex A9 1GHz processor (2 cores) 533MHz + 666MHz, inbuilt loud speaker, 3.5MM headphone jack supports audio formats: MP3, WMA, VBR, APE,FLAC, Gsensor and 512 DDR3 Ram, 8GB Nandflash built in including extend memory up to 32GB via micro sd card. There’s also dual camera (front-facing 0.1 and at the back 3.2 megapixels) support for video calling, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth) and a smooth video playback performance.
Ultimately, serious Gmail users won’t find all the features they’d love to be on Android, but this is among the top uncomplicated, mobile email clients we’ve tried out.
